David Shonberg, DDS, FACP, Ltd.
Diplomate, American Board of Prosthodontics
Dr. Shonberg received his Doctor
of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 1980 from Northwestern University School
of Dentistry, after which he began practicing as a general dentist in
the Chicago area. He returned to Northwestern University Dental School
to train as a specialist in prosthodontics, and completed his training
program in 1993. He then began establishing a private practice.
Concurrently with private practice, he was a part-time faculty member
at Northwestern University Dental School. His responsibilities included
teaching in the post-graduate prosthodontic clinic, the basic dental degree
program, and directing a course in dental implantology for senior dental
students. Dr. Shonberg became a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics

Our Staff
Our full-time dental health care team consists of two dental practice administrators, Beth and Alpha, two dental hygienists, Edie and
Kay; and our dental assistant, Josie. Each staff person is highly experienced in dentistry, and is committed to the well being of each of our patients.
Beth, Receptionist-Administrator
Beth is responsible for coordination of patient care and dental insurance matters. She is your first point of contact with our practice, and she is committed to assisting you in any way possible.
Alpha, Administrator-Assistant
Alpha has been in dentistry for 10 years and is responsible for coordinating patient care and dental assisting.
Edie, Dental Hygienist
Edie, R.D.H., B.S., graduated from Loyola University with a major
in dental hygiene science, and a minor in teaching. Following her training,
she worked part-time as a hygienist while raising a family. Following
this, she served for twelve years as a faculty member at Northwestern
University Dental School. She currently devotes all her time to the private
practice of clinical dental hygiene, and has been with our practice for eight years.
Kay, Dental Hygienist
Kay, R.D.H., B.A., graduated from Ferris State University
with a degree in dental hygiene. She has had a multi-faceted career in
dental hygiene, holding positions in the dental product and insurance
industry, private practice, and dental education. In addition to her
clinical
practice, she is currently an adjunct professor in the department of
Periodontics at the University of Illinois College of Dentistry. Kay has been with our practice for eight years.
Josie, Dental Assistant
Josephine has 17 years of experience as a clinical dental assistant
in all phases of restorative dentistry. She has been with our practice for eight years.
